Says who?. Every sop comes back to bite really hard. Sops have to be an
extremely rare exception, with well defined goals and the results open to the
entire public. Education for example.

Go read economic theory and the details of where the money came from and where
it went. But to give you a pointer, the same bunch hollering here were
counting their profits in Iceland. Until the chicks cam home to roost. The
Iceland government then wanted to repay the promissory notes made by banks to
the moneybags running the scam, but were stymed by massive public protests.
So your innocents have very dirty hands.
